Scream Chistmas

It wasn't until shortly after I photographed this outfit that I realized I should have opted for a more objective approach to holiday dressing, but alas, here we are. Ornaments hanging from my earlobes, legs adorned in red velvet, cardigan woven with flecks of gold and silver, my outfits all but screams
"ILY Christmas" followed by several Christian holiday themed emojis.

It also wasn't until this year that I realized how insanely costly the holiday season can be. So costly that I did in fact have to forfeit my participation in Black Friday sales ( RIP Zara Platfrom Blucher $42.99 and Topshop Coin Choker only $15.99) just to afford a dog bed and an Outerbox phone case.

Therefore in terms of holiday wears, I was forced to get crafty. The above red velvet pants have been sitting in my closet for over two months patiently awaiting the day for a sign of real purpose.
With trousers like those already making a bold declarative statement, I tend to opt for a more muted, but none the less holidayesque, palette. I strongly discourage against the addition of evergreen or ivory hues in the formulation of your holiday outfit.Think more along the lines of dashes of silver, poofs of gold, or maybe even a wild card color like purple royale or just plain blue.

In this case I went with a grey sweater, striped blouse and black coat to keep the rest of the outfit on the DL whilst my pants stayed poppin and on center stage. Keep them guessing with literal ornaments from the tree and prepare to commence your modeling career for Next Model Management North Pole.
Thrifted striped blouse, H&M silver cardigan, Altuzarra for Target velvet trousers, Urban Outfitters heels & Insight New York coat

Swap out the pants for a shimmery mini number, try a NYE party hat on for size, fill your glass with sparkling apple cider, and you've got yourself a Pinterest-worthy look for holidays to come.

Once again, you are soo welcome.
